The Boys & Girls Club of St. Marys 2016 Fall Adult Co-ed No Spike Volleyball League concluded their season with intense battles of bump and spike! Green Lite consisting of Ron Ehrensberger, Josh Krug, Chris Meyer, Alysia Meyer, Kim Krug, and Lisa Ehrensberger dominated the competition. Green Lite came into the tournament ranked number 1, which proved to be an accurate ranking. Green Lite took an early lead over Park Excavating and never looked back.
The Boys & Girls Club of St. Marys Co-ed Spike league witnessed a Cinderella story, as Rhino Flooring of St. Marys defeated top ranked Twisted Killers in the championship bout. Members of Rhino Flooring of St. Marys were Wanda Dragone, Missy Nicklas, Jess Weinzierl, Pam Armanini, Eric Weisner, Dave Hoffman, Mark Anthony, Tracey Decker, Jim Klein, and Brianna Weisner. Twisted Killers and Rhino Flooring split the regular season series against each other; however, Rhino Flooring of St. Marys won the important game earning the title as Champion.
Team ‘Merica went on a late season hot streak in the Boys & Girls Club of St. Marys Adult Women Spike Volleyball league, which progressed into the playoffs. ‘Merica comprised of Loren Olewnik, Kali Tarle, Kelsey Morey, Paula Tarle, Alyssa Cunningham, Ashley Denio, and Chelsea Samick won their last 6 games of the regular season and did not lose in the playoffs, as ‘Merica defeated the Drillers in the championship. In the regular season, Drillers were the only team to beat ‘Merica handing them two losses. ‘Merica showed they had a chip on their shoulder during the championship game, as they played like they had something to prove.
